criti.pics is a place to rate photos. Photos go up with no names and no captions, and other people rate them on the picture alone. Follower counts and clever captions have no say in the score.
This is the official criti.pics blog. New features, changes, and notices go here. Every post is published in Korean and in English, and the link at the top of each post jumps to the other language.
How it works
- Sign up with an email address or a Google account and you get 5 stars. That means your first upload is free.
- Once you log in, the home screen becomes the rating queue: one photo per screen, swipe down for the next, ratings in steps of 0.5.
- Your first rating on someone else's photo earns 1 star. Uploading one of your own photos costs 5 stars. Rate five photos, upload one.
- Photos with few ratings come first in the queue, so every photo gets a minimum of attention.
How scores are shown
- The average and the AI score stay hidden until you leave your own rating. Nobody gets to sway you before you look.
- Until a photo has enough ratings it shows "Rating in progress" instead of a score.
- The score is the average of the ratings. People who rate a lot count a little more, and the number of ratings is not shown.
- On upload, an AI gives the photo a separate AI score from 0 to 5. It is never mixed into the human average, and the judgment is rough, so trust it lightly.
About uploads
- Image files up to 20MB. Photos are resized on save and metadata such as location is stripped. Originals are not kept.
- Every upload is screened automatically for inappropriate content.
- Uploaded photos are visible to everyone, including visitors who are not logged in.
